Commissioning an Independent Catamaran is a direct and collaborative process between owner, designer and builder.

Each project begins with an initial conversation to understand the owner's sailing plans, experience and expectations.

From there we define the most appropriate platform — AION or KAIROS — and develop the technical specification together with the owner.

Because every IC yacht is semi-custom, the configuration, systems and interior solutions are refined individually for each project.

Independent Catamaran works with a limited number of projects each year to maintain direct involvement in every build.

During this initial call we present the concept behind IC vessels and explore whether the project aligns with your ambitions and expectations.
OWNER BRIEF
The next step is a deeper discussion focused on your sailing ambitions and ownership vision.

PLATFORM SELECTION
With the owner brief defined, the project moves into technical alignment.

Together with our designers and engineers we determine the most appropriate platform architecture and design direction.

At the end of this stage the concept becomes clearly defined.
TECHNICAL & DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Once the concept is confirmed, all principal parameters are established.

This phase marks the transition from concept to a fully defined vessel ready for production.
SPECIFICATION & AGREEMENT
The complete technical specification and project parameters are finalized before construction begins.

The specification defines the vessel’s engineering concept, materials, systems and performance objectives, together with the agreed build timeline.

This ensures transparency and alignment before entering the construction phase.
BUILD AND DELIVERY
Construction of your IC officially begins under direct supervision of the IC team.

The build process includes composite construction, systems integration and detailed finishing.

Once completed, the vessel undergoes full commissioning and sea trials:
